Volunteers are at the heart of our organization! It takes many hands to full fill our mission. We need you!
We welcome and are very grateful for donations of any amount. With the help of donations from supporters like you, together we will continue to make a positive and lasting impact on participants, families, and our surrounding community.
For each individual rider, we need a minimum of three volunteers. This consists of one handler (lead the horse) and two side-walkers (provide support and security for the participant). Additional volunteers also assist with the planned activities (example: playing catch, retrieving equipment), clerical work, equipment clean up, and clean up duty.
Assignments will be based on your comfort level/abilities. We do our best to pair new volunteers with experienced volunteers allowing you to gain comfort and understanding of your role.
Be at least 18 years of age or older. If a minor, a parent/guardian will need to speak with us prior and complete appropriate paperwork.
Comfortable around horses.
Wear appropriate attire: Closed Toe Shoes, Pants, and t-shirts/sweatshirts.
During riding sessions, all participants, parents/guardians, and volunteers will be required to wear a face mask as a Covid-19 precaution. If you are unable to wear a face mask, we ask that you refrain from applying at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
